The ongoing expansion of Renault’s comprehensive range of online sales tools has diversified with its latest offering: Renault Buy Online. The online service allows Renault customers to complete the full purchase process of their new model without visiting a dealership. All that’s needed is a device with an internet connection – it’s that easy.

Following the successful introduction of the Renault Virtual Showroom which has seen thousands of calls placed by customers and hundreds of individual vehicle walkarounds by dedicated Renault Gurus since the middle of April, Renault’s breadth of options for researching and buying a new car has expanded dramatically.

After adding its Select & Collect stock pages via www.renault.co.uk in the middle of May, the new Renault Buy Online option to complete the full purchase is a significant piece of the puzzle in Renault’s comprehensive online sales options. Significant interest in Renault’s latest models is backed up by a suite of helpful and innovative tools to make the process as easy as possible – customers can complete the whole purchase online and take delivery in as little as a couple of weeks.

Using Renault Buy Online, customers are able to choose from the latest models across the Renault car range including All-New Clio, New ZOE, All-New Captur, Kadjar and the latest New Megane Hatch and Sport Tourer. Customers can configure their vehicle with the added benefit of being able to complete a finance application and sign finance documents for those purchasing via Renault Finance. A full finance calculator is available to agree terms, enabling customers to adjust key parameters such as the deposit and monthly payments to suit their needs. Online support is available through the whole process via a chat function, providing direct access to the customer services team.

Vincent Tourette, Managing Director, Groupe Renault UK, commented: “We are seeing more customers wanting to complete more of their purchase online. Alongside our Virtual Showroom, we are supporting the traditional physical customer journey with the ability to do everything digitally from the comfort of your own home. We believe that this will become an increasingly useful tool, not only in the future but at present given the current nationwide restrictions."

We see this being particularly useful to customers and dealers in the current climate, and our experience from Renault’s sister brand’s Dacia Buy Online, shows that there is a growing number of customers who wish to carry out much more of the buying experience online and so we expect Renault Buy Online to prove a useful complement to the existing physical experience”.

Renault’s online sales tools work hand-in-hand with each other, giving the customer ultimate flexibility and the same level of quality experience they would normally receive in a phyical showroom. With the Virtual Showroom, customers can talk to a Renault Guru and ask any questions they have while viewing a vehicle in real-time. They can then follow up the purchase by choosing to use Renault Buy Online having fully researched their new vehicle. For those who may not be able to purchase online, Renault Select and Collect, plus direct contact over the phone to a Renault dealer, means there’s always a way to get behind the wheel of a new Renault.

Once a customer chooses the Renault model they’d like, the Renault Buy Online service takes them through the whole process clearly and informatively in just a few simple steps. A full finance application journey is provided by RCI Financial Services, branded as Renault Finance, allowing the customer to complete the whole process of applying for finance online, including e-signing any finance documents.

The finance terms are tailored just as they would be in person, with adjustments made for the deposit and monthly payments to achieve the best option for the customer. The customer can submit a finance application for approval by Renault Finance and, once approved, can then complete their identity and document checks online, pay their deposit and sign their agreement digitally, meaning the entire process is done from the comfort of the customer’s home. Once completed, the customer can opt for home delivery, or collection from a dealer of their choice, even during the current nationwide restrictions.

Those wishing to part-exchange a vehicle can complete this part online too with a valuation given for their car, while buyers wishing to take out a great value servicing package can do so through the Renault Buy Online process. The whole process is the same as it would be in the showroom, ensuring customers have more choice than ever in the way they buy their vehicle. The Buy Online service supports Renault dealers, who supply the vehicles and process the sale.

For customers currently in areas of the UK with national restrictions, vehicle handovers can still take place at a Renault dealer, with stringent measures in place to ensure the safe and sanitary delivery of all vehicles. Servicing and repairs will also continue to operate in a COVID-secure way, adhering to the latest government advice regarding social distancing and sanitisation.
