Renault Dauphine

A replacement for the 4CV, the Dauphine was launched in 1956. It was bigger and more rounded than the 4CV, however it had much the same mechanical layout. Rear-engined, the Dauphine provided a smooth, absorbent ride but tricky handling whilst on the limit. In 1958, the Dauphine won the prestigious Monte Carlo rally outright.
